Cathy and Julio had their beautiful wedding on June 8th, 2010 at the Lake Mary Events Center in Lake Mary, Florida. They had a great team of vendors, including our own “Mr. Big” package which includes Photography by Tabitha McCausland, Videography by Molly of Cinematique Films, Cake by Anna of Anna Cakes and Day of Coordination by Weddings in the City. Also working with us… DJ Les and Wendy of Soundwave, Officiant Rev. Glynn Ferguson of Sensational Ceremonies, Florals by Vicki of Peddles and Arthurs Catering.
We Loved being a part of their fabulous wedding day!!

There’s rarely anything we wont do to make sure the wedding day is flawless!! Cathy’s dress shop forgot to steam her crinoline and if it wasn’t, the integrity of the dress would be compromised. We didn’t want her to worry about anything and made sure by the time she walked down the aisle, everything was perfect!

We are thrilled to share the following pictures!! Tina and Roy had a beautiful garden wedding at Leu Gardens in Winter Park Florida. They intended on having their ceremony in the Rose Garden but inclimate weather pushed us inside. Lucky for us, Leu Gardens has the Lantern Room which has big open windows that truly bring the outside in.
We knew the food was going to be amazing, because it always is with Puff N’ Stuff… and the cake… too tasty for words by Anna Cakes. Kelly’s Flowers provided us with beautiful centerpieces and personal flowers and Carl from Premier DJ Entertainment handled all of the music/sound for the day. Thankfully, to catch all of the amazing details on film, we had Tab McCausland!!
As always we love our brides and grooms and enjoy sharing their details with you!!

Ashley and Mark are one of our couples with a complete and cohesive theme!! Watch out sports fans…. these two are true Magic Fanatics!!
Not only are their wedding colors royal blue, black, silver and white…. but they are having an “Orlando Magic” themed wedding, complete with “Stuff” bobble-heads for table numbers and many other surprises we aren’t sharing yet. Ashley is one of our more serious DIY brides… this girl can create anything she sets her mind to!! She even has a blog dedicated to all of her projects.
They originally planned on tying the knot in Cocoa Beach, but their original venue had a fire and unfortunetly wouldn’t be repaired in time for their wedding. Thanks to some quick thinking and fantastic connections they were able to secure the Buena Vista Palace for their Ceremony and Reception!! We cannot wait to see Ashley and Mark’s vision come to life!
When did you get engaged? We got engaged on December 26, 2008. We were celebrating Christmas that day, since we could not celebrate it on the 25. I thought I had the big surprise, because I had gotten Mark a PS3 for Christmas, and I was able to keep it a secret. But, the surprise was on me! I had NO idea it was coming!
When is the Big Day? July 24, 2010

Who are the Wedding Vendors you have already decided to hire?
Wedding Coordinator: Rachel Crawley with Weddings in the City
Photography: Tab McCausland
DJ: Jay Edwards
Cake: Anna Cakes
Videography: Cinematique Films
Florist: Andrea, A1A Florist
Officiant: Julie Clover, Dream Beach Weddings
Dress: Alfred Angelo
Bridesmaid Dress: David’s Bridal

What is your venue and why did you choose it?
Our venue actually chose us. We were originally going to be getting married in Cocoa, at the Space Coast Convention Center (at the Holiday Inn Express)- well, the hotel caught fire, and could no longer host our wedding. So, we had to look some more. Through the help of my AMAZING vendors, we were introduced to Buena Vista Palace, and are in love!

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
EVERYTHING!! I can’t narrow it down! I am most excited to finally be marrying Mark, but I am also excited to see all of our friends and family in one place. and I am really excited about all of the little details that are involved with the wedding.

Are you keeping a wedding blog while you plan? Why is this helpful?
I am. Mine is a DIY blog that shows off all of the projects I have been working on. I have seen that there are quite a few people that are interested in the projects I have done, and want to try them for themselves. So, as I complete my projects, I post them on my blog, with directions, so that people can try these things for themselves, as well as see all of the things that I am working on.

Is there anything you are nervous about for your wedding day?
Not really. We have hit a lot of bumps in the road while planning for this wedding, so that has made me pretty tough. I have definitely learned the “everything happens for a reason” attitude. I have a lot of amazing vendors working for me, so I know that everything is going to be wonderful, and I have nothing to worry about!

What is your wedding theme going to be? What inspired it?
This is by far my “favorite” part of the wedding. Our theme is Orlando Magic. Both Mark and I LOVE the team! The wedding theme all started with one little garter set. When Mark’s sister got married, she had a Florida Gator garter. I knew I HAD to have an Orlando Magic one for when we got married (keep in mind- I wasn’t even engaged yet). So, I found one, and stored it for when we finally did get married. Then, when Mark proposed, I went looking for the garter, and could not find it! So, I went to order another one, and in the process, found the most adorable cake topper that was Magic themed. I eventually found my garter, but in the process, turned our wedding into a fun, Orlando Magic themed wedding!

Where are you planning to go for your honeymoon?
We are planning on going to San Francisco. We will spend a few days in the city, sight seeing and having fun (Alcatraz is a must), and then head out to Yosemite for a couple of days! I can’t wait! We love traveling and seeing new sights, so this should be a lot of fun!

What are some of your favorite wedding planning tools (websites, blogs, books, etc)?
The Knot has been a huge help to me! All of the gals on the CFL board are amazing, and have helped me with vendors, projects, etc.
Is your husband-to-be helping with the planning? What are his jobs?
Mark does not have much to do with the planning process. That is definitely my job! He goes with me when there are big decisions to be made: like food. He gives me his opinions on things as I ask, but for the most part, I do all of the “hard” work.

What is your best advice to brides who are currently planning their weddings?
Stay organized! Get a game plan together as soon as possible. That is definitely what has helped me the most. I have lists of things to do, and I tackle them one at a time.
And, just remember that everything happens for a reason. If you hit a bump or two in the road in the planning process, just remember this! We have definitely had our share of “bumps”, but everything ended up working out for the better!

Are you planning to see each other before the ceremony? Why or why not?
Yes! We want to try and spend as much time with our guests as possible, so this is one of the main reasons we decided to do this! Plus, I love the idea of having the “alone” time together before the wedding. I know we will both be filled with nerves and jitters, so this is a great way to calm each other down!

What are three words that describe how you feel right now?
excited, nervous, anxious
This photo booth wall concept is certainly unique. We love the idea of having a second photographer available (even if just during cocktail hour) to take pictures of your guests in this photo booth wall. Your guests can then sign a scrapbook that you can add the pictures to later, you can have a photo printer available for instant printing, or for an even more vintage feel, why not have your photographer use a Polaroid camera for instant pictures.
This fun and unusual option, that you can make yourself, to enhance your guest book, is one your guests are sure to talk about for years to come.
